Reservation staff were helpful, polite and efficient. Camp Mayor (Host) was knowledgeable and helpful. They cut through the red tape for you at this park. Entry onto base was simple. We used the south gate entrance for all our travels. This campground is only one hour from the gulf coast area. There are two lakes that I found on the base. One is at the campground and another close to the north gate. This campground has a scenic hiking trail and plenty of places to jog. An ice machine at the bath house was convenient. The price of $15.00 per day for full hook ups was well worth it. A new camping section located on the far side of the lake is nice but unshaded because of recent removal of the trees. A great place to stay if you needed a long term spot. The entire campground was kept neat and clean. I will plan another visit to this park soon.
