Suggest use the address of 3518 Snake Hill Road in Dover, NJ, which will bring one to the upper level. Continue on Snake Hill Road will encounter entrance to both the cabins and two FHU RV pads. There are 6 RV concrete pads on upper level (3 FHU, 3 dry pads) , and 2 FHU RV concrete pads in front of cabins. RV Pads are available for guests visiting Picatinny Arsenal. However, the upper level FHU sites appears to be for long-term rentals (months or more). The 3 FHU sites on the lower level were occupied by long-term residents. The two FHU RV hookups on lower level are across from the three cabins. They are categorized as RV Pad 3724 (Right Pad) and RV Pad 3724 (Left Pad). The lower two pads are only 30amp. Facing the cabins, out ClassC could not back in from the left side. The angle of approach was too steep to allow our 30-foot ClassC. However, pulling out and backing in from the right side barely cleared the steep grade. Picture is provided of the left-ward entry that dragged onto the concrete and left "visitor trails". At $30 per night, the 2 FHU sites by the cabins are an great value. There is no controlled entry to either the upper or lower RV sites. Retirees can reserve up to 45 days in advance. The total eight pads are legacy concrete pads that actually had double-wide mobile homes that used to be available for personnel stationed at the Arsenal. It also appears that the two pads across from the cabins are also repurposed concrete pads for double-wide mobile homes based on the utilities terminated around poles away from the concrete pads. The upper-level RV sites is named for CSM(R) Theodore R. (Ted) MORAN, died 2 March 2006 at the age of 76. He lived in NJ and on that fateful day he went out to shovel 3 inches of wet snow, came in to rest, sat down and had a fatal heart attack. After retirement, he had been working at the Picatinny Arsenal as Manager of the Morale, Welfare and Recreation Trailer Park. In August 2006, at a dedication service, the trailer park was renamed the CSM Theodore R. MORAN MWR Recreational Lodging Facility. In addition, he was awarded, posthumously, the Achievement Medal for Civilian Service.
