Lake Frederick Outdoor Recreation Area

Difficult to get to the facility, with some routes being NY "parkways" which are passenger car only or having bridge clearances below 12 foot. The Lake Frederick Recreation area is located on a catch and release only lake, with mountainous views just 7 miles from the United States Military Academy, and 50 miles from New York City. Lake Frederick Recreation Area offers 8 Bunk Houses with heat and A/C, 50 Tent sites, Meeting/Mess Hall, Pavilions and bathhouse. Mountain top lake, one ADA fishing pier, swimming beach, and hiking trails are all within walking distance from your site. Our main office offers services to include: firewood, canoes, paddle boats, rowboats and much more. All reservations require payment in full. For group camping rates, please contact the main office at (845) 938-2649. Check-in is at the Lake Frederick Main Office. ID to verify eligibility is required. Authorized ID card holder must be present throughout the stay. Check-in: 2pm for bunks, 1pm for tent camping. Check-out is at the Lake Frederick Main Office and must be completed by 11am on the last day of the reservation.
