We enjoyed our stay here and found the laundry room and restroom cleanliness have improved since past reviews. We did find the coin machine out of order in the laundry room and one washer not working properly. The trash dumpster was not overflowing and was in good order. You will never see anyone from MWR or a camp host but that is fine. The RV gate coordinates on this listing took us right to the original entrance to the installation. Some updates to info listed above for this campground - The "manned" front gate has moved to just before the traffic circle mentioned in the directions above. Also, at the traffic circle you want the SECOND right/exit onto 3rd BN Pond Drive. The other directions above are correct. Here are the exact GPS coordinates for the campground - N32.32673, W080.69725. Also, when you call for a reservation and get one they ask you to call back about a week before arrival so they can bill your credit card. And, they no longer use the lock boxes in the laundry room/restroom building. You just go to your site and the utilities are not locked. You will be given codes for the laundry room and restrooms although the doors were not locked when we were there. Lastly, in the this era of Covid, we were told to stay away from the commissary and exchange area until after 3:30 p.m. on Fridays due to graduation and if we went off base before then we would not be able to get back on until after 3:30 p.m. Here are a few things we like to do in this area. Hunting Island State Park is not far away and has some good kayaking/canoeing on the lagoon plus bike trails, a lighthouse, etc. The farmer's market in Port Royal (1615 Ribaut Road) every Sat morning 9-12 is good. Bike riding is good right from the campground to the left (as you face the road from your campsite) down to the water and around a circle) and also to the right from your campsite, then first right out to the golf course and back (there is a boardwalk and some historic stuff off the left side of the golf course parking lot). And in Port Royal there is a great rails to trails paved path (10 miles) called the Spanish Moss Trail - access at Depot Road (just put Depot Road, Port Royal in your GPS and follow it to the end) or access at 921 Ribaut Rd (Tech College of Low Country).
