We are full time RVers and go from famcamp to famcamp. And we LOVE the ElPaso famcamp and all Fort Bliss has to offer. We’ve been to 25% of the famcamps and Fort Bliss is one of our favorites. Directions are perfect.
The RV sites are close together but you are on concrete and everything is very well manicured. The bathrooms and laundry facilities are clean! We didn’t go into El Paso too much but Fort Bliss might have the nicest on base facilities. It has a whole are of shopping, movie theater and restaurants. We also tried out all the gyms and there’s a 50M indoor pool! We did go downtown to the farmers market and were completely delighted! I can’t think of a single con.

Not on Fort Bliss. Efficient and competent office staff. No reservations, but when this park says it is full, it is. Overflow is very small and steep. All sites pull-thru and full hookup. Park sites are concrete pads and adequately level. Utilities well-maintained. Electric and water are located at front of site. Clean park with minimal road noise at night. Did not see problems with wind-blown trash or dog poop. Bathrooms, laundry, clubhouse, fitness room, and ramadas clean and well-maintained. Wind is year round; don’t use awning. Military shoppette and gas station across the street. Small to medium trees are well trimmed and provide some shade without blocking satellite TV. Adequate 5G Verizon. WiFi only in clubhouse. Wide sites but close together. No hiking or biking trails. Worth the drive off the highway for $23 a night.

We stayed a few days in mid October. Weather was nice and easy to get into with a 44ft 5th wheel. You cant beat the rate with the Access pass discount. Comes out to 23 a night. We were on the road side, it wasn't that bad. I would return.

Reservations not accepted but spaces along the road are usually open. Daily rate is $25. Very clean and organized. Lots of active duty and govt contractors staying there. Base gas station and RV/Boat storage next door. Commissary and Exhange are new and main street atmosphere around them is very nice. Chili's and Texas Roadhouse Steak House are in this area on base. Very surprised to find a Dollar Tree Discount store also. Camp sites along the road are noisy in daytime but not bad at night or weekends. Dogs everywhere in the park and some are left outside at night in pen areas. If your towing a vehicle, most sites have space to hook/unhook on site. I chose to do it at the gas station because I need to fillup early that morning. As I walked through the campground back to my RV at 6am, several dogs in pens started barking.

Great location, easy access, large level sites. You have to sign their "rules" when you sign in, including the assertion that rules are strictly enforced. Found that to not be the case, especially as it relates to patrons picking up after their dogs. Excrement was plentiful along the pedestrian path going up to the dog parks, which were very large and divided into thirds. Other than that, was pleased with our one night stay. Many apparently long term patrons, with overnight stays further from the office. Will stay again when in the area again, if space is available. Reservations not accepted.

We stopped in around 1630 to see if there were any available spots to park. The night host told me they were full but I could be placed on a waiting list, even though they do not take reservations. I explained I just needed a spot overnight and asked if I could just park in the check in lot, not take out any sides and leave early in the morning. The nice lady declined and pointed to a partially paved lot across the street which they use for overflow. That would have been an option, however this lot is not level and you would have to back up your small trailer or 5th wheel up the grade to park on level ground. There were several folks parked there in smaller trailers and shorter 5th wheels, however if you have a Class A and especially those who tow a car, this would be out of the question. The park seems to be in a good spot and close to downtown and does have a shopette and gas station to fuel up your RV right across from the park. Very hard to plan a trip when you can't make reservations.

Park is located off post and has easy access when going in or out of the park. The price for camping is excellent. The pads are excellent and there is some room between campsites. Office personnel are extremely polite and helpful. Campground sits next to a high school, resulting in some students hanging out in the park's grassy common area. The dog runs are great and there are plenty of doggy waste bags available. Set back is that there is still a lot of dog waste through out the dog runs and the park. The campground has rules that are given to every camper upon registering. Sadly though, many of the rules are not enforced. Do to winds in El Paso, there is a great deal of trash blown around in the park. The park employees several personnel to maintain the grounds and common areas. The bath house and lounge/exercise areas are fairly maintained. The outside common areas are often neglected. The maintenance personnel speed a majority of their time driving around the park in their gulf carts. If the rules were enforced and the outside areas were maintained, this would be a solid 5 Star Campground.

Excellent FamCamp, however, the management does nothing to enforce rules. Neighbors animals (2 cats and a dog) were allowed to run free. Even after I informed the office that the cats had walked on a shelf I had painted and left footprints everywhere, nothing was done as far as I saw. Walking around the FamCamp also found that the long stayers had broken every rule on the list. I really think that if you have to sign a rules sheet the rules should be enforced, especially when complaints and blatant violations are noticeable everywhere. Don't waste my time making me sign rules sheet that is not enforced. I will do the right thing regardless as I care about other people's experience.

Just passing through and needed a place to park for the night. Called ahead, arrived late evening. The CG was full-up but staff could not have been friendlier. Invited me to use the overflow lot across street, showers, dump station, was all I needed. Showers were clean, park clean, staff friendly. Had breakfast at nearby Underwood Golf Course (base golf course) in the morning. Good food, reasonably priced, great service and on my way west bound. A definite come back spot.

Still a good place to stay despite lack of restrooms / showers. Registration area can get a little tight if busy You could park in the open lot across the street if so. Everything worked, can't argue with the price. I got there in the morning and they were showing maybe 10 - 12 vacant sites. Don't know how they came up with a 1pm check-out but I could see where that might cause availability issues for midday arrivals.

Since it is FCFS, I called several times before we arrived to check on openings. I spoke with several different people, and no one mentioned that the bathrooms, showers, and family center are all closed due to COVID. We just spent nights at 2 different AF FamCamps, and all of their amenities are open. There is not consistency across military campgrounds on how COVID is being addressed. If you aren’t going to offer full amenities, lower your prices to reflect that and inform customers when they call.

This RV park is not on base but requires a military id. The famcamp office staff are very organized and friendly. The sites are FHU's with good water and electric, but restrooms are closed. The laundry was open and very clean with reminders of social distance and masks usage. There is some highway noise but at acceptable levels. Easy on and off the highway to the park. We will stay here again.

This was our second stay, so we knew what to expect. I had called a few times before arriving to make sure we had a chance at a site since it's a first come first served system. Each time I had called the office always said they had about 4 or 5 sites available so we felt pretty comfortable getting something. Due to Covid, showers and bathrooms were closed but the laundry facility was open.

RV Park is completely full and they have a wait list. The overflow lot is a complete joke and not to be relied upon unless you are a B or a Small C. The extremely slopped parking lot is used for employees that work at the school across the street and one Taco Truck Vendor. If you are just using this place as a stop over and are turned away, look up Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino, NM, it was good for a last minute stop over.

Antennae TV was good for local. Showers/toilet and laundry were clean. Only internet is in family room, nothing at your site.

Called ahead around 8:30 am and was told they had three open sites. When we arrived 1.5 hours later we got the last site available. Can't add much more that has already been written. One thing that might help others. Our refrigerator has quit working and we tried to get Double T RV Service out to help. The are closed on weekends and do not come out to Fort Bliss but once a week. Couldn't find anyone else to held so we are taking the problem on up to Deming, NM to get the work done.

Ft Bliss senior leadership should be commended for its dedication to its soldiers ACTDU and retired. This facility is a FAMCAMP showcase - clean, modern, well-run, well-maintained, friendly staff, and reasonably priced. Many ACTDU TDY students stay at the park. No reservations, first-com, first-served with stay limitations. As an example, there were initially ~10 spots open when we arrived on a Monday in mid-December 2018. All spots are ~60 foot pull-throughs with water, sewer and 50 AMP electric. Adjacent AAFES min-mart and Subway sandwich shop, with AAFES gas and diesel at a good prices, and maneuvering space at the pumps sufficient for large RVs/5th Wheels. No cable or campground-wide wireless broadband so plan to use your hot-spot, cable not required as plenty of over-air programming (you are in El Paso, TX proper, with nearby mountainside broadcast antennas). The area is subject to high winds so RVers with slides be forewarned to have straps to tie down your slide top-covers when the occasional ~50MPH wind gusts kick up to prevent billowing/un-spooling/slamming. winds were calm during our stay but the sloped park near the freeway (not noticeable with windows closed) has easterly wind exposure. The sprawling Ft Bliss base is cut up by numerous highways and surface roads. The campground is on military land and nearby the Fort, but outside the base security perimeter, in a reasonably secure area but without access control gates. Adjacent MWR RV storage is available, but there is currently a one-year waiting list.
