Quiet, peaceful and off any well traveled path. Sites are paved and the pull-throughs were long enough that my 44' fiver and F450 fit easily. Large, level, paved sites with good utility connections (FHU). Laundry/Bath House was immaculate. As others have said, no activities for kids with the exception of an almost laughable 2 seat swing at one end of the campground. Grounds very clean and neat. No wifi and only had 1 bar intermittently of T-Mobile. On the + side, Starlink reception was excellent and the Richmond TV stations strong. No shade in the central part of the campground so the summer sun can be brutal. MP's patrolled daily and MWR staff drove through daily and stopped to chat with anyone out. Very small Exchange with items catering to troops there for training. Food Lion grocery store about 5 miles away in neighboring Bowling Green. The only complaint is that no outdoor fires were permitted, not even a propane pit. A community fire pit is located near the Bath House and requires you to call the base Fire Marshall and get a permit before use. Firewood not available nearby. All in all, a good experience.
