I have a Garmen Zumo 550. How can I use these GPS files in my system? What will they do for me? Do I just download and save them or what? ???

Sorry Bill, I can't even attempt to support every brand and model of GPS available. Read your GPS documentation to see if it accepts imported data files.
These files import Waypoints or Point of Interest locations into "many" GPS'. Once imported, the location of the military campground will be included on your GPS map. In my older Garmin GPS V, it's called a waypoint. I can then ask the GPS to provide driving directions to the waypoint. But not all GPS' accept imported data files. My Garmin also requires a special program (MapSource) from Garmin to load these data files. The software came with the GPS.
A quick look at the Garmin website shows the Garmin Zumo 550 CAN accept data files. But I don't know which version of data. Read your manual.

You may have some luck looking in the forums over at www.geocaching.com Those people are really up on there gps tech and if there is anyplace on the web where you can get info on how to load a GPX file into any type of gps that is the place. I'm surprised that Larry didn't send you there.
While I am here I have a question for Larry anyway.
Larry, is there any way you could E-mail me whenever you update the GPX files? I created the ov2 file for TOMTOM, and would like to keep that up to date with the master GPX file so that the TOMTOM people can get the data they need as well.
Thanks.
