route info- FT Bragg was created by CincHouse
Getting ready to head up to see daughter and want to try getting off I 20 and taking Route15 and HWY 401 to Fayetteville, NC from Byron, GA- to avoid I 95.
We are newbies in RVing, had our 5th wheel little over a year, 29ft-13 4 clearance. Has to be a way to find road clearances but I haven't found it yet, PLEASE advise- not big on shortening the RV.
We have been to Bragg twice with the RV- would not reccomend it unless you have family at Ft. Bragg. It really could be nice but the last time we went the bath house was seriously neglected, no table or fire pit-we will see with this trip if it has got better.
Merry Christmas!

Cinchouse,
Why not leave a review of the Ft. Bragg campground on the campground information page?
If you have a mapping program, www.discoveryowners.com/cginfo.htm has some files that will map low-clearance locations for federal truck routes. There's also a ton of other mapping files there for the RV'er.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the help! Ducks, Santa, and Grandparents take off in weather like this!We will leave tomorrow and I hope to be surprised by improvements at Bragg. We might spend a few days over New Years at Ft Gordon, depends on weather. I will post how winter camping is at both when we get back.
Merry Christmas!
