Enhance User Info to include RV Type, Make and Toad?

Just thought it would be nice to be able to find others who have the same make and model RV or Toad so members could consult others concerning various issues. As a newbie, it would be interesting to find out who is driving what and why. Also, perhaps a separate section divided by RV Types then further sub-divided by Make to discuss RV specifics? Thoughts? Mikey,

I'll look at adding the options of camping equipment, etc to a users profile, making it an optional entry. Perhaps also military affiliation.

I'm not sure about adding all of the sub-forums on RV types to the website. While I appreciate you wanting to stay here for all issues, there's already some good forums out there talking about the various RV types. Check out the forums at www.RV.net . However, I'll stay open minded. What does everyone else think? I'll be glad to create the sub forums here if you think they will be used.

Thanks for the suggestions. It's how we grow!

Larry, that seems like a lot of work for you to duplicate what is already on the web. There are forums out there for about any make or model of RV. For instance, I'm a member of three different Monaco web groups.

While it might be interesting to have this info, a lot of members include this in their signature block. This info would be constantly changing and members are more likely to keep it up if it appears on their signature.

Just my humble opinion. I think that the most important things on this website are the campground reviews, the campground information, the maps and the satellite photos of the campgrounds and the forums. I go to rv.net and the escapees forums for equipment specific issues.

After being on here a few short weeks I've come to learn quite a bit and have to agree now with all the others posts. Yep; no sense re-inventing the wheel. Now that I'm aware of that and know where to look. Great web site as it is! Mikey D

On the technical side as to our rigs and what we drive I go to forums that have people all talking about the same kind of equipment. For instance, Our little home on wheels is a 38' Everest 5th wheel by Keystone. There is an Everest owners forum with about 375 active members and all sharing experiences and ideas in the various forum topics. My tow vehicle is a Dodge dually truck with a Cummins turbo diesel, so guess what? I belong to a Dodge Diesel truck forum where all sorts of technical stuff is discussed daily. There are all sorts of forums out there for us to join that more suit our needs. Look at the oldchief46, he has found three. I like this forum for it’s military campgrounds and all the reviews people leave which by the way are very helpful. Larry does a great job keeping this web site updated and insuring the forums are in line with the needs of the users.
