Google Ads, Good and Bad was created by fiatspider79
The Google Ads on the website are a source of income for Larry and are an incentive for him to keep the site up and running. That is a good thing.
As often as I can I click on a couple of the links to add some change to his wallet.
But I do have one small complaint. The Google ads at the top of the page force everything below it down beyond the first screen so that in order to do anything on any page I must first move down on the page. With a mouse (particularly a wheel mouse) this is not a big deal, but on a laptop with a touch pad it takes a lot of cursor movement. And I would guess that most of your members are logging on using a laptop.
Just wondering if the ads could be placed somewhere else to save my overworked cursor finger.
Say hi to Steve.

Hey Glenn,
Can't do anything, about the adds, as that is Larry's job, however I have a comment. You may consider using a mouse with the laptop. I agree, most of us RV'ers use laptops, but that does not mean you can't plug in an accessory. I hate the built in mouse pad, and have used an optical mouse into my pc for three years now. Most of my pc'ing is done at the table and it works great for me.
Enjoy reading your numerous posts, it seems that you enjoy yaking here. Maybe we will cross paths some place.

No, it's even simpler than that. I want to get out of Junior Member status. Good point on the mouse but I have learned to work from my lap and a mouse is just one more device for me to screw up. But I am planning to add one for the wife's computer because she works from the table all of the time.

Glenn,
Thanks for supporting the website by visiting the Google Ads. It DOES help a bunch.
I'll remove the ads from the top of the forums page and see how it goes. I'm not sure what improvement's it will make, as the page will still get long if there's many posts under that topic. Or perhaps I don't understand the problem. Regardless, I'll remove the top ad.
But give me some credit, at least I didn't place ads to the right like they are on almost every other page.

Larry,
Ya done good. Credit duly given.
When I log in I go to Forums and click on the "posts since last visit" link. With the ads at the top the link is always on the second screen. Without the ads I don't have the extra click.
Perhaps you might consider adding that "posts since last visit" link to the home page.
Before we leave Tyndall tomorrow I will try to get a photo of the clubhouse. The one I took today didn't come out at all. By the way, the orange blob in the middle of one of the scenic photos is half of the Air Force's Navy.

Glenn,
Now I understand the issue about the "one page".
