Golden Passport??? was created by jostfamily
I am new to this site and the recreation center says some fees are waived if you have a Golden Passport? Can anyone educate me? Thanks!

Some military recreation facilities will give a discount if you have a "Golden Age" or "Golden Access" pass. This is the older cards. The new ones are called the "Interagency Senior" or "Interagency Access" pass, also known as the "America The Beautiful" passes. These cards are usually used to gain free access to National Parks and for discounted camping at many federal campgrounds.
The amount of discount given by the military varies from a couple bucks to 50%. Only a few military recreation facilities give a discount for these cards.
You can get either of these passes at most National Park and National Forest Ranger Stations or Visitors Center. You can't get these passes from a military facility. The Access pass (proof of disability required) is free. The Senior Pass is $10 for life and must be 62 years or older.
