Military Campground Sponsor

I was thinking. Active duty personnel are assigned a sponsor to assist in their PCS moves. The sponsor provides info about the new base and helps get the inbound person and his family settled. What if this site stated such a program on a voluntary basis. I would be the first to volunteer. I work at Keesler AFB and can provide info about the FAM Camp at Keesler as well as Shields RV park in Gulfport. I can also provide info about the surrounding area. Weather, activities, casino's, etc... What do the rest of you think? Would it be possible to start a "Sponsor Link" somewhere on this site?

Not a bad idea. Kind of a local contact with the "inside track."

Great idea Sabertooths. pricejh is right on. It would be nice to have the latest and greatest information on the FamCamp sites and surrounding area.

Even better, if anyone has any pertinent info concerning any particular FamCamp that is not included in the description of that campground, pass it on to Larry so the info for that campground may be updated.

Gathering info on the Fam Camps would be fun and at the same time helping out the site. I read all the reviews so we know what we are getting into. We are planning to start snow birding next September and stopping by a lot of military camps. :woohoo: So, we'll be in touch.
