Political ads on this site

The mute button on my TV remove is almost worn out from me trying to not hear political ads.
Are they going to be an ongoing feature on this site?
I suppose everyone has to make money, somehow.

Boy you hit the nail on the head Dennis, I am so sick of them already and we have months to go with the mudslinging. My mute button is getting dried out and squeaky already!

I don't have much control over the ads that are displayed. They are assigned by Google, the advertising service I'm using. I never know what will show up, other than I don't allow porno ads.

I didn't even know this ad was showing until I read this post and got the ad myself.

Please don't take offense to any political ads you see. They ARE generating some needed funding for this website. Yesterdays ad revenue was higher than it has been for the past month. Perhaps this ad is the reason. Whenever someone clicks on the ad (whether they agree or not), it costs this advertiser money. At least they are not making any noises, like the TV.
