Atlanta Naval Air Station, Lake Allatoona, Ga

Called the campground at Lake Allatoona on my way south from Chattanooga this morning to inquire about the availability of an RV site and the person who answered the telephone said the RV campground is CLOSED for renovations. I asked how long these renovations would take and he stated he did not think the campground (RV portion) would open before the end of January 2013.

This leaves only Dobbins AFB available in the Atlanta, Ga vicinity and after arriving there, I'm not at all sure I could recommend it.

Never go to Dobbins when they are having an Air Show.....made that mistake
