Once again am impressed with Aviation Arbor as it reinforces my comments about how they are top notch and enforce the rules. Someone driving around the campground on a motorcycle was not wearing a helmet (state law in La.) and the police came through on patrol and zing he was stopped at once. If a campground wants to stay on the "A" list this is the way to do it; when you write a rule and hand them out enforce them and yes I know this is not in writing on campground rules but we all need to know what state laws apply and that is our responsibility to know them and follow them.

Aviation Arbor is a nice campground with nice bathroom facility. Just a few days ago there were only two RVers there. If you want to stay there, go past the first area with travel trailers to the new campground. You can also walk to the BX and Commissary. Be sure to eat at Salvos Seafood Restaurant close by outside the base if you like fried oysters. The prices are very reasonable too. Lots of military eat there daily.

Federal MC rules on all bases require a military MC license as well as a helmet, boots, long sleeves, and a number of rules that all base bike riders must abide.

The military license is required regardless of a state MC license, and all base rules (federal rules) supersede state rules when a MC rider is on base.
