Hurlburt Field FamCamp

Does anyone know if HFFC is open for business? If so, will it be dry camping only at this time of year?

Last I knew, the existing FamCamp is still open. However, I suggest calling, as I did hear that it will be closing down soon, even though the new FamCamp hasn't yet finished construction. New FamCamp is scheduled to open in March.

I drove by there the other day and I don't see it being open by March.

Interesting is that the entrance will be off a public highway with no need to enter the base to get into it.

The other CG was off base too ... most are on base, but if you travel the country much, you'll find others off-base too.

I'll be in the area in March and will try to get all the information I can and post it.

Following up, we did visit HF FamCamp and saw a few sites that were open that appeared to have water and electric. As I understand their requirements, you find a vacant site, hook up, and then go to the office. So, I would say HF is still fully operational and had spaces available about two weeks ago.
