New Pilot/Flying J was created by LamSan
Found out last week that the old Cisco/Patco Truck Stop at exit 1 on I95 in Ga. is being converted into either a Pilot or Flying J according to the construction crew working on site. Very convenient when you are going to Eagle Hammock in Kings Bay, Ga. and very large area for fueling and parking in the rear of complex for RV's. Crew did not have a completion date but they are making great progress as we have seen over the last 3 weeks.

Great news. I hope they don't use the adjustable volume delivery gas pumps that the old Cisco had.

I used to use Flying J all the time but haven't used them since they joined up with Pilot. I never liked Pilot. They weren't RV friendly and from what I hear from a lot of folks nothing has changed in that department. Am I missing something?

We stopped using them when Pilot and Flying J merged or whatever they did because they were not RV friendly until about a year ago when they offered the RV Plus Card to Good Sam Club Members again with some good discounts esp. if you are a Good Sam Life Member. We get $ .08 off the diesel cash price so depending where you are it is the best price going and you must be a Good Sam Life Member to get this. They also give you the option to have the amount deducted from you check book each month and this will increase the limit you can use, so if you travel a lot it is convenient and you can see all you statements on line to be sure all is correct each month. Maybe more than you wanted to know but if you or anyone is not aware of this RV Plus Card look at their website for all details.

Flying J has RV islands and Propane area, but be VERY careful if you have a big or wide rig. The island is not wide enough for big rigs and also have the big cement post around them to hit. The cards for both Pilot and Flying J are good. Some pilots have RV islands but not many. I find it convenient to go to small town truck stops that don't have big names as they are not crowded and you use the truck lanes and just pay in advance. Sometimes these small places are much cheaper than Flying J also.

This Truck Stop will be a Pilot as the name was painted on the islands yesterday. We do not use the RV islands as they are tight and we have a diesel pusher and use the Truck Islands at Flying J and Pilot so anyone needing diesel, trucks or RVs are able to go on the truck side and get the lower price with the RV Plus Card or using your own credit card. We have stopped at small Truck Stops also when we can get in and out safely with our RV, my only comment about them is we have heard numerous times from fellow RVrs that they have had problems with water in the diesel causing them problems, but that surely must be in the minority of small Truck Stops you can find.
