I will be going down on June 11 to the 16th. Has anyone rented a boat from their MWR? Anyone know how the fishing will work out off the Navy Peirs? Any recommendations or suggestions on where to fish in the Pensacola Bay or on base, thanks so much
last time a few years ago you had to take a boat safety class first with mwr
not sure if its still required
our if you have a boating license from al, or fl they waived the class
as for fishing off the pier, it depends on what is moored
call ahead and ask for port operations they can give you skinny
Was just there May 10-15th. Fished every day from land. Fish weren't biting at all. All Bases require a boater safety course. Take it on line from any state and it is good in any state. The course is free. I did it April.
