Wife is AD-AF at Wright-Pat and retirement hub/home is near the back gate of NAS-Pensacola. I am Retired Army & OSD. I travel up and down I-65 and I-75 every few months, visit family, care for home and get Med care where I can get in faster and receive better. I have developed the need/desire to stop for the night rather than to continue the entire length, which is 14-15 hours…
getting too old for this _ _ _ _.

I'd like to go no more than 10 hrs at a stretch, but would prefer 7-9. I have checked a few places along both I-65 & 75, but find that most are either run down, over priced, or 20, 30, 60, 90 minutes off the beaten path. Rest areas are getting crowded, noisy and dangerous…can't sleep peacefully. I need a halfway point to bunker down for the restful nights sleep. Any ideas/suggestions or know of a good place or two. Wish not to break the bank for an over nighter. Can live without hook up if I must, but prefer the conveniences.

Thanks.

Check this one out as it shows many campsites and won't break the bank. www.passportamerica.com/triprouting/route

Also check out parking overnight at a casino. Many even provide free electric hook-ups. www.CasinoCamper.com

Thanks Ed! Looks like theres a few along the way, average prices unless I join the PAC to get the big discount. I'll investigate this further. Much appreciated!

Never thought about casinos; then again, I don't frequent them. I'm checking this site out now. Maybe I'll find something that will work.
Thanks for the info!

We stop at www.renfrovalley.com/rv-park/ I 75, exit 62. It is a PPA park, and has a new section especially for large RV's, 50A FHU.
We have stopped at www.passportamerica.com/campgrounds/ga/fairharborrvpark883 in Perry, GA., across I 75 from the state fairgrounds (East of I 75). I recommend this place too.
