MacDill, Raccoon Creek

Not sure of the reason but just received a text message from the Famcamp that there will not be any dry camping this season. There will not be any ration. Anyone heard why?

Going to be some fun for those who use that area as a stop-over in-route to the Keys.

Camping at MacDill has been disjointed and mismanaged for forever - construction work delayed and incomplete. We stopped camping at MacDill years ago, and only occasionally stopped for overnight and shopping at the commissary when heading south or returning north. Can't even do that how, it seems. This could be a PRIME camping area, but special camping privileges for some and poor leadership make it a ZERO in our camping book.

Amen, Monkey – After calling for reservations three years in a row for the FOLLOWING year, two years on October 1st, when the office opened; only to be told I would go on a waiting list. WHAT! Forget it. There are too many nice parks out there to be dealing with . . . ; you get the picture.

Currently in Arizona, temps HOT! But it’s a dry hot – LOL
