anyone know if Arnold AFB Famcamp is open yet? note on campground detail says closed until spring '08. Planning a trip in June and might stop there if open.
A review was recently posted that said the campground is closed until Labor Day. I wonder if they meant "Memorial Day" (end of May instead of September).
Stopped in at the Arnold CG. They got it all tore up. Talked to some people at the Commisary and they told me they hope to have it open by Labor Day. They are removeing some trees and paveing the sites and adding 50 amp. They told me that they are not adding sewer. The max stay will be 30 days which may be extended. It is on a lake with a dock. They have a small commissary and a BX the size of a shoppette.
Just talked to the Community Center this morning and they're planning on being operational by mid September. Not taking reservations as yet. ??? Hopefully it will happen.
