Im planning a trip to Sx Flags in September they are haveing Military appreciation weeks for all active duty members...Free admission up to 4, more admissions can be purchased at a 50% discount. They have different weekends for each branch of service. Check their web site for specific dates under events.

Unless you're running 2 Air Conditioners at the same time, most likely your don't "NEED" 50amps. You can get an adapter and utilize 30amp or even 20amp service. Although our motor home is 50amp, we use 30amp or 20amp service most of the time. We just don't run 2 heavy electrical usage items at the same time.

Having been stationed in the Atlanta area, I can tell you that there aren't any campgrounds that I would want to stay in that are "close" to Six Flags. Dobbins is near there, but not one of the finer MCGs.
The campground that I'd recommend is Stone Mountain Park Campground. It's on the NE side of Atlanta. www.stonemountainpark.com/lodging-camping/camping.aspx
It's an excellent CG with good reviews, but the drive to Six Flags, which is on the west side of town, is probably an hour. And you do not want to be driving in Atlanta during am or pm traffic.
One benefit is that the campground is located at another tourist attraction - Stone Mountain. www.stonemountainpark.com/

I know that some people do not like the Stone Mountain Campground because it does have some shortcomings as far as some of the RV sites are concerned. But if you will click on the link that Sky King gave you, you will find that there is much to be enjoyed at Stone Mountain as well.
The tram ride to the top of the mountain is great as is the laser light show every evening. Quite a few interesting things to see right there as well. The granite mountain is quite a sight rising out of nowhere.
We hope to go back again sometime.

There are several Corps of Engineers Campgrounds on Lake Altoona, just N. of the West side of Atlanta. The one that looks the closest to Six Flags is Old Hwy 41 #3. The photos don't look bad. We haven't stayed there, but we usually are not disappointed with COE Campgrounds. They do have 50 amp service. Check out
www.recreation.gov
for info and to make reservations. They usually run $20 plus or minus per night. May not have sewer hookups, but do have dump stations.
Also found on www.woodalls.com a Yogi Bear Jellystone campground and a KOA on that side of Atlanta. Enjoy your well earned day at Six Flags! We appreciate your sacrifice for our freedom!
