Because my kids and grand kids live in the Jacksonville, FL area we go there often. We make reservations at NAS, Jacksonville well in advance so we can get a site close to golf course so we have a good chance at receiving Verizon signals. We book for the max two week stay and - depending on the season - we will extend for an extra two weeks. That uses up 28 days of our allotted 42 days a year. Because we use this Military Campground more than any other we try to keep up with what’s going on within the MWR programs. We are happy to say that the MWR program manager at NAS, Jacksonville is getting the word out. Their web page us updated frequently and the MWR Newsletter is very useful. Have a look at the one I’ve listed below...It’s not behind...It’s for this month.

Does this mean NAS only limits each RV'er 42 camping days per year at this MCG ... am I reading this right, to mean the NAS time limit is 42 days ...

It gets complicated. You can go over to the campground section and see what Larry has posted there. But when going into NAS JAX you should call and ask because the seasons have a lot to do with just how long they will let you make a reservation for. We never plan on being able to stay there for more than 42 days per calendar year.

Not actually planning on going there at this time -- but I wondered from your post if for some reason a 42-day maximum per year was enforced there ... seems like each MCG has different rules and guidelines -- so thought maybe this was one of NAS JAX rules --
