Shields RV - NAS Corpus Christi - any hurricane damage?

Any hurricane damage at this park? Planning to visit in Feb.

I'm guessing not, since Ike went quite a bit north.

No damage what-so-ever. The park was evacuated and for a day or two it was a ghost town. Slowly everyone returned and everything is back to normal with the exception that both hosts (Don and BJ, for different reasons) chose to leave. It's still a great park so come on down.

We've been here since Nov.7th.....no damage...and the progress on additional sites is going smoothly...they tell us about 40-50 more....WOW..........great campground...a little breezy at times, but we love it....

That's great to hear about the additional sites - when do they expect those to be done?

We are still on track for February and, in fact, called and got one of our sites "upgraded" to one with sewer (when we reserved all they had available was W&E). I am hoping there will be some cancellations so both parties camping there will have sewer for the 17 days we'll be there.
