Sigsbee (Key West) Early Nov

We were thinking of going to Key West/Sigsbee in late Oct for a couple of weeks before the Snowbirds migrate. Now I hear that there is a mega event that lasts until 31 Oct. Would it be wise to delay until after that and would it still be ahead too many crowds if we delayed until early Nov?

PS: We're not party people so the event of of no interest. And, dry camping is not a problem...but, of course, prefer hookups (35' MH).

No problem there until after the new year.

Fantasy Fest..

I'm told that the Trumbo "overflow" is pretty busy, walking distance to DuVal Street.. Was TDY at NAS Key West in about '96, stayed in the Trumbo BOQ/Chief's quarters, great location. Remember the local news reporting that the Monroe County Board of Supervisors had ruled that there would only be one warning for public nudity before a ticket was issued at the upcoming Fantasy Fest . Though to myself, that must be some party.. someday I'll make it down..
