I just read the following update of Ft Sam famcamp status on another list ...posted by someone who is there now.
"The new bridge is built to get to the CG. No more worry about the road flooding. The bridge is immediately after the elementary school if you have been this way before.

There is a major reconstruction of roads on-base, so maneuvering around is not a good option. Try and come in the prescribed way, via Nursery Road, just past the National Cemetery"
