Alatoona: Army or Navy? was created by cdrcos
I will be passing through Georgia on my way to Florida and plan to stop overnight in the Alatoona - Cartersville, GA area.
Does anyone have experience with the Navy Lake Site CG and also the Lake Alatoona Army Recreation area CG?
Which would be best for a quick overnight stop? (Ease of getting in and out, size of sites, etc.)

I stayed at the Army camp, no problem getting in or out. Staff very helpful. Passed the Navy side before I realized it was there..

The Army side would be much easier to access, more space and more level. The Navy side (IMO) is very tight and not as appealing. Marty
