Texas Storage was created by jsummers
Howdy. I'm looking for a Texas storage site for my TT. I have been storing it at Barksdake AFB for the past 3 yrs. I don't think I can stand the water and mud any longer. Barksdale's a great base/Fam camp but the storage lot is an unpaved, soggy junk yard of old vehicles and I've just had it. Does anyone store their RV anywhere close to Houston ? (Ft. Hood, San Antonio-Lackland, Ft. Sam, etc) We fly from AK back & forth into Houston intergalatic. The longest I store it is 5 months at a wack, but I'd like a yr long deal so I don't have to worry about getting kicked out. Thnx so much.

All three bases in the San Antonio area have storage.. Don't know what its like,,never been. FYI if you go to the individual campground site 9 out of 10 times Larry has the info your looking for..

Morscuba,
thnx for the info HOWEVER, I know how to use the website AND that Larry has info on these kinds of things. I must have mis-spoke or confused my query. Sorry. I frequently use these discussion forums to get specific indiv's recommendations and advise. (example- Does anyone store their RV anywhere close to Houston ?) I was looking for some Mil Campground reader's advise or insight into the storage location that "they" have used. I love hearing what other Mil Campgrd readers actually use/buy/recommend. Sorry if I wasn't clear. FYI- Lackland doesn't allow anyone to use their RV storage except locals (active duty,retirees-no matter. I had already called all the Texas bases that offer RV storage, before I wrote my query. Waiting lists...etc. you know the drill. That's why I was asking advise of the more well informed readers of this website. There are so many old timers that know so mcuh more that I do about so much. jims
