The RV Park on NAS Jax is pleased to announce upcoming renovations, on tap to commence this summer. The improvements are for the lower section of our RV Park and include:
1-Upgrade to full hook up status for all RV sites
2-Replacement of sewer, water, and electric infrastructure
3-Replacement of the site pedestals, to include new concrete pads
4-Concrete pads for the picnic tables
5-Replacement of all the old railroad ties
6-Regrading and gravel for the travel lanes and RV sites
7-Trimming of the pine trees to let a LITTLE more light in (I know some of you like the dark enchanted forest atmosphere) and to provide more of a clear shot for sattelite TV
8-Regrading and elevation of the primitive tent sites, to include addition of water & electric
9-The establishment of a gathering location with a fire pit and cookout grills (and a future gazebo) in site #19 by the St Johns River

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions at [email protected]

Thanks and safe travels,

Thank you for the update, Phil. We visited your park four years ago, and we were placed in the lower section. Due to some damage to our 40 foot coach, caused by trees too close to the road and the tightness of the sites (railroad ties), we have never returned. Based on the planned renovations, we very well may return again. Is there a projected time of completion available?

John - regarding a completion date, we are anticipating early fall, prior to our busy season. I plan to post photos of our progress and provide a continuous update.

Thanks,
Phil

Phil, thanks for realizing this forum is a great way to communicate with your customers. I hope this catches on with MWR folks at all bases. It's a great place for MWR Directors to see what folks think about their facilities. Keep up the good work Phil. Bob
