First come first serve? was created by ghardesty
Retired USAF living in FL. Would love to take our MH to Key West but campground (coast guard) says first come first serve. How do you obtain a campsite without driving 400+ miles and arrive to find the campground full??

Search these forums for "Sigsbee" and look at the campground's information on this website. Depending on the time of year you go, you'll learn you will probably need to dry camp until you can rotate into a FHU site. I don't think Sigsbee has ever turned anyone away - there's plenty of room in the winter when they also open the Trumbo Point annex.
Sigsbee RV Park is operated by the Navy (not Coast Guard) at the Key West NAS. The Coast Guard has a small RV Park in Marathon, FL and REQUIRE reservations.

The old call first before spending the fuel for a No Vacancy sign is best
