Last time I visited this Famcamp was four years ago.
Now here again and impressed with the improvements they have made to this campground since my last visit.
The manager is great. She cares about her customers!
They have built, as many of you know, a new club house/office/shower/laundry building. Very nice building.
Also have added new RV spaces.
If the campground is full, the manager will permit you to dry camp until a space comes open. ((by the way, something the Famcamp manager at Wright Patterson should learn to do ))
End of January 2011 now..and there are a few open spaces here.
They plan on putting in 20 more new full hook up spaces this year and a tent camping area.
The host (Beverly and Adam) are great.
Office stays open until 9 pm. Where they sell snacks, beer, etc.
Too bad other famcamps don't follow this policy of office open until 9 pm and sells snacks, beer, booze and more. Great idea.
There is a good mix of campers here. Not full of homesteaders. The office has a policy of rotating campers if the facility is full. So, long term campers may have to move to dry camp or leave for a while if the facility is full. I believe max time to occupy a space, while others are waiting for a space, is 30 days.
