Wife and I are planning a trip to the Florida panhandle in late march. Would like to spend some time at the NAS. From the reviews it appears that the Oak Grove Park has the best overall ratings. We have a 32ft motor home. Any info about the area would be appreciated.
Get a reservation early. This is a popular campground located just accross the street from Sherman Field where the Blue Angles are based. Expect a free air show a few days a week. The Naval Air Museum is also just down the road from the campsite (about a mile). The camp sites are close to the beach also. Great staff. Enter the base from Blue Angel Parkway which leads to the back gate.
