Donaldson Field AFB Greenville SC

Not sure if this is the right place to post but; Does anyone know if there is a campground located on the old Donaldson Field Air Base (Greenville,SC) that closed several years ago? I know there was either a Guard or Reserve unit operating on the site so hoping camping might be available. I'll continue to research and post any findings if someone doesn't beat me to it. Roy

Roy, thanks for the question. I don't know the answer, but many guard bases do have campgrounds. They just aren't advertised or well known. Perhaps this is another one of those "secret" locations.

It appears there is NOT a military campground on the old Donaldson Field AFB, Greenville SC. But, there is a campground located on what I believe used to be part of the base. It does have a website and reviews. I have not stayed there or visited, yet. Its address is:

I just checked rvparkreviews.com and Springwood has been a commercial CG/mobile home park since at least 2007 according to the reviews. I think recent rates were about $35 a night.
