patrick afb, famcamp

Patrick famcamp is agreat place to spend a few nights, the camp host is a great guy and has the peoples interest in hand at all times, I was greratly impressed with how clean the place was.

Inquiring if anyone on here was at Patrick for the shuttle launch on May 16? We are thinking of coming down for the next launch and was wondering if Patrick was full for the current launch. If full, how much before the launch did it fill?

We'd like to go to Manatee Cove(Patrick AFB) this winter but the issue of the firing range noise sounds like it's serious. Is it really that bad? Is it an every day occurance? Should we not go to Patrick because of it?

A new indoor firing range is going up at present. I'm not sure when the completion date is but the current range will close at that time.

Spent a month at Patrick in 2011. Firing range is used occasionally, but it's not long lasting. Don't let it deter you. Heading there nxt week and will report back
