Navsta Mayport's Pelican Roost was created by floridakamper
We're just finishing up another GREAT stay at the Roost. Since our last visit they've added a laundry building right next to the lodge. It has four washers and seven or eight dryers. And they're free! The lodge has two washers and dryers, so this is a welcome addition. We're leaving in the morning because the park is fully booked for the coming weekend and fire works. Bob Baylis has been the manager for as long as we've been camping here. I think he deserves a lot of credit for turning the Roost into one of the top two military campgrounds on the east coast according to Larry's survey of users if I remember the results correctly. Bob is retiring at the end of June. Fair Winds and Following Seas Bob....enjoy your retirement.

Susan and I live on the other side of Jacksonville and often camp at Pelican's Roost. The improvements are great, especially the road paving. No more white dust all over everything. We enjoy the view of the ships coming in and going out and of course fishing along the sea wall. The staff are very friendly and will point you in the right direstion for whatever you're looking for. My only complaint would be those irresponsible RVers who walk their dogs at night and don't clean up after them. We'll see you soon at the Roost!

We recently went with some friends to Hannah Park for 2 nights... I should have found out about Pelican's Roost, in that it is nice and that I could have sponsored the couple. Clint

I understand that the new manager of Pelican's Roost is the wife of the gentleman that manages Hanna Park.
