Hi,
Can anyone recommend a nice rv park between Orlando and Tampa for this winter? With McDill so hard to get into we'd like to find a park in that area but have never wintered there.
Appreciate any advice anyone can offer.
Thanks,
Jim(retired Navy)

We can help you as we live in Hernando Co. and know most of the RV parks in the area. What kind of RV do you have and since there are so many places to camp in the area you mention could you pick a county or city to narrow it down a little more?

Check around Lakeland, Dade City, Zephyrhills area. Of course, that is where all the 'other' snow birds will be so try to get something reserved asap.

Hi Lamsan,
We have a 35ft. motorhome and would like a rv park in the Zephyrhills or within 30-40mi. of Z-hills. We like to walk/hike so a park that would have opportunities for walking/hiking would be nice if possible.
Thanks for any help/info you can offer.

Hi Jim, there is a campgound in Bushnell that is about 2 to 3 years old and it might be right for you. They are listed under Paradise Oaks RV and Golf Resort and have a great website. Another one that might be for you is called Travelers Rest Resort in Dade City, also have great website you can look at; right off I75 and very country, actually about 7 miles from our home and they will keep you as busy as you want to be. Our Good Sam chapter goes there in spring and fall and we have always found the utilites are excellent and maintenance of grounds and buildings are top notch. If these two do not meet your requirements let me know and you can e-mail me direct at [email protected]. I am the san portion and my name is Sandi, hubby is Lambert and Army retiree.
