Joint Base San Antonio RV Park

We are heading down there next week, but the directions in the reviews have a sort of log way around on base to get to the rv park. Anyone use the Petroleum gate on petroleum dr to enter the base? Baker at the rv park said its a straight shot from 3
I 35 to the petroleum road gate, but it closes at 5 pm.
We are LONG (64.5 ft)all hooked up and was looking for tidbits to avoid maneuvering on base through small streets
