We are going to New Orleans for a two week stay and after looking at what was available and price and who can accomodate us we decided on Pontchartrain Landing as it is a Passport America Park and we will be paying just under $500.00 for the two weeks, and this is a premium pull thru site as we have a 45' class A.

Was there in the Spring and stayed at the Bayou Segnette State Park over on the West Bank.
Well kept and quiet right on the edge of everything. $18 per night for 50a water/electric site November to April. A conveniently located dump station at the campground entrance.
They were doing some flood wall construction on the entrance road, so it was a bit rough, but nothing too bad.
No shade on the sites, but lots of space between and green grass. More room than you would ever find in a private RV park.
Staff was friendly and accommodating.
I would highly recommend it as an option to some of the closer in, higher priced places.

I'll 2nd dchaz's recommendation of Bayou Signette State Park. We visit NOLA at least twice a year and stay at their state parks. Bayou Signette is nice. It also has free WiFi if that matters. Always find it very clean. Lots of space between sites. A lot less hassle getting to than driving to the NAS. It's just a short drive into the French Quarter.
We've also stayed at Fairview Riverside SP and Fountainbleu SP on the northshore. It's about a 45 minute drive into the French Quarter across the causeway.
