Tried to reply to review left about Eagle Hammock but the comment section would not enter my reply so I will post it here.
The FREE WIFI at Eagle Hammock has been up graded and working well. The system was overloaded with so many people having several devices on 24/7. New washers and dryers are ordered and money cannot be spent to call in repairs. A handy camp host is doing all repairs he can to keep them going until the new ones arrive. And the new ones will again be FREE. Site E-9 is an active duty navy family who just moved out of a home and are working to get everything tidy. I never saw the pop-up so I cannot comment on it.

Just wanted to add,the comment on site D-5 that guest is active duty who returned from leave that weekend with the pop-up to sell at outdoor adventures, however,Outdoor did not open until 11am monday morning,so the manager allowed him to keep it on site till then.
With everyone heading north, this is usually a big stop off on their way, getting in is very difficult unless you've made a reservation well in advance.Reservations can be made 120 days in advance.A comment was made about homesteading,if you consider active duty who can't get into base housing or affordable housing, homesteaders, then eaglehammock is guilty.
Eaglehammock does have camphost who assist in the park for the winter,so does everyother very busy park. Mayport has a separate long term rv park eaglehammock does not, there are 60 sites plus 7 overflow sites available.
Hope this clears things up a little.

Thanks Sizzors! You are correct. The old washers and dryers are being removed tomorrow at 4:00 pm (16:00) and the new ones are being installed on Thurs. And they are FREE!! Thank you Charly for making this happen! She is an amazing manager!

I can understand someone staying at the campground while waiting for base housing but do they have to keep their site looking like a pig pen. As for the guy on leave with the popup camper, I was there 7 nights and only saw him and a lady once on Sunday and then they disappeared again. I suspect they are storing their 5th wheel at Eagle Hammock and using it as a cabin while living somewhere else. Defend if you like but something is quite wrong here.
