We are in the Wauchula area and decided to take a drive to Avon Park Air Force Range. No one allowed on the grounds and no RV areas at all, primitive camping only but civilian guard did not know who could do this primitive camping.
Know that one of the campgrounds used to be right along the river. They are doing river restoration work along there so it may have been closed. When we were on the East side of the river a month a go saw at least one camper on the West side.
