 Met several people who made comments that Arizona is a great place to spend winter! We just want to be where there is no snow and decent temp. First, we are newbies full time, we are just out of the driveway for a week and a half now and loving it. Hanging around North Georgia a little while the VA finishes up some dental work. Plan on being in St Louis early October for Unit reunion and then a week or so in Fort Wayne,In to visit the g-kids for a week or two. After that wondering about a great place to winter??? First thoughts were Florida, but now wondering about the Southwest.
Thanks... Clarence & Judy

We have a home in Florida with land so we are home in the summer. We get out of Florida when it is inundated with snowbirds in the winter as roads are clogged as well as military, private and state and federal RV parks. Can be tough finding places to stay as many allow an RV to stay anywhere from one month to six months without ever leaving.

We venture into Ga., Al., La., Ms. and have spend lots of time in Texas in the winter. Have even gone into Ok. and Mo. and yes it can get cold but time it right and you can visit all these states and find out what works best for you.

Cannot comment on Az. in the winter as have not tried that. Good luck and stay safe and have fun no matter what you do or where you go. Have been RV'ing for about 13 years and still love it.

We have wintered in Mesa AZ for the last 2 winters there. We love it. Last winter was so mild and calm, we so loved it. We stayed at an RV resort where there are lots of activities to do. The Phoenix area has a lot to offer so you can stay as busy as you want.

This winter we are looking to head to the panhandle area of FL to spend time with the gkids. Safe travels and enjoy wherever you decide to stay.

Thanks!! We live in Georgia and we are going to take a closer look at the South West for the winter now. Been there in the summer passing through with a helicopter and wow was it hot, but sounds great for winter. To us now it is all a great adventure and looking forward to it. Do not see adventure in Florida been there a lot. Wish you safe traveling and thanks again... Clarence & Judy

We wintered in Yuma one year, and we enjoyed it, although it did frost on a couple of mornings. There is quite a large snowbird population, and golf is good there, and fairly inexpensive (around $40.00). Never been to Florida, nor Texas but many folks like the Rio Grande Valley in Texas. We usually go around 1000 miles further south to La Penita Mexico, about 40 miles north of Puerto Vallarta. Never gets cold down there. :)
