Spoke with a camper here (NM) that says in a recent visit to San Diego was told personally that the Fiddler's Cove renovation was halted by environmental interests. Passing this on for what I paid for it.
Anyone got the straight/official scoop on this issue?

I'm told a new sea wall has been built and they are past the environmental issues. It IS dry-camping ONLY. They don't expect quick progress on the renovation and it can be over a year before it's completed.
