Roper Lake near Safford, AZ for a few days
hiking and then to Yuma to see if we can

Its probably too late to help you out but we are here now. We arrived last week. The weather is wonderful, sunny, highs in the 70s and 80s, but a bit windy. There are plenty of sites available as many have left and a lot are planning to leave within the next two weeks. Nice place, full hookups including cable TV. Good facilities, washers/dryers are $.75 each. Everyone is friendly, some gather for games/cards in the community center. Very small mini-exchange and small commissary. Bowling center also shows movies. Nice cafe/lounge. We decided to stay for a second week primarily because the weather is so good.

I'm not in Yuma but I work not far from there near Glamis...it's warming up. High 80's and looking for 90's pretty soon. Winds are variable and change daily.
