While staying at Fort Bliss RV Park, camp hosts Barb and Ynes passed on some new driving directions to the RV Park. If you've ever gone there via the normal route through El Paso, you'll remember how stressful that freeway traffic jam can be. Especially since there's lots of freeway construction going on.
I've posted these new driving directions and a map on the information page for Fort Bliss RV Park. We drove them and they are GREAT compared to the previous route.
Stayed there in late June and heading east from New Mexico, I believe it should be exit 162 for SR404. I never did see an exit 164. Plus there was construction in that area so there was no turning around. Using the old/regular route was not really that bad. I really liked the other route using the loop to continue heading east. I didn't realize Ft Bliss covers a lot of real estate, its huge! :S
