We are planning a trip to the Grand Canyon and points north, next month and I was looking at Ft Tuthill Rec Area and Pine View RV Park as layover places for touring the Canyon, even though it is about 60 miles north. Has anyone stayed in any of the NFS campgrounds near the South Rim and if so, your opinions please. I know they are boondocking areas, but if they were acceptable it would beat driving the 120 or so miles roundtrip from the Williams area. Suggestions please. Thanks
