I am looking for some quality info regarding the revamped Los Angeles Air Force Base FamCamp. Anybody been there recently? Can't seem to find much on this web site, though I found info on the Air Force Web Site. Any Info will be appreciated as I am planning on going there in the next few days!

Please share the web link you've found and any information you know. If you do find a FamCamp there, please let us know ALL details so we can add the information here. Photos would also be nice.
Over the past 4 years, I've talked to the Los Angeles AFB MWR office about their FamCamp. Both times, they've 100% denied there is any FamCamp there or at the nearby Fort McArthur annex. Years ago, there was a FamCamp, but they insist there is no FamCamp anymore. However, it's been over a year since I last talked to them.
I hope you find a FamCamp and let us know. It won't be the first time I've been told there is no military campground, only to learn there really is. We call these "secret" military campgrounds, which we've uncovered over a dozen in the past few years.
Any one else have any info to share?

There is a FamCamp at March Reserve AFB with 60 sites. It is not bad place to stay, but there are a number of full time residents there. When you first arrive you may need to boondock for a day or two and then you can get a full hookup site for up to 14 days.

Unfortunately, no. There use to be a FamCamp about one mile south of the base on Aviation Blvd., just past Rosecrans Avenue, but it went away in the late 1990s when Area "A" was sold off to developers in exchange for consolidating the base to new facilities by the BX and Commissary. Additionally, there are no parking spaces available to accommodate RVs larger than 18-21 feet in length on base, and no AAFES Exchange services after 6 p.m., other than the 24 hour gas station.
The closest RV park available is operated by the Los Angeles County Department of Beaches and Harbors at Dockweiler State Beach. It is approximately 3.8 miles from Los Angeles AFB at the western end of Los Angeles International Airport:

Don't forget about Sunset RV Park and Legacy RV Park at Joint Base Los Alamitos. Sunset RV Park just opened. Information on both parks are on this website. Not the greatest RV Parks (yet), but worth considering.
