Is Kirtland AFB closed?

From reading the listings below about Kirtland AFB, is it closed to camping? We were Planning on heading that way the first part of October. I'm getting mixed signals about availability for camping from the blogs below. We will be N of Denver for another week and were planning on heading in that direction. Any input would be appreciated.

I'd call them but the first week of October will be difficult. The Albuquerque Balloon Festival is in progress and the campground has reserved most of the new section for a group. Good luck. We enjoyed the area and the campround.
