FYI pricejh if you itemize your Federal Taxes please know that your Medicare Part B premium you pay you can include in your Medical Expenses. If both of you are on Medicare this can add up to over $2000.00 you can add in with all your other medical expenses. I do believe for 2013 the amount is going from 7.5% to 10% for calculation but sure worth the deduction if you have considerable medical out of pocket costs. I pay more out of pocket now with TriCare for Life and Medicare Part B than I did with Tricare Prime and when you add in the Part B premium it is a big increase out of pocket. Also keep track of the mileage to and from any medical facilities as you can deduct that too. We did this for the first time for 2012 as I turned 65 in Dec. 2011 and we were surprised how much it can add up to and we always itemize and this made a nice difference in our Schedule A total to deduct.
