Please tell me this is not true!! was created by karylkoch
My husband was watching Fox news, and they said they are trying to pass a bill cutting cost of living for Military retires. Is this true? My husband mentioned there was a female senator, who was against this bill. She said, the Federal employees had unions on there side, She also said, they were not asked to put there lives on the line. My next question is there anyone fighting for the military? I also heard they wanted to close the commissaries. These benefits were earned and not handouts. How do they expect to keep a voluntary military force? Please any sane insight and reassurances would be greatly appreciated.

Never fear. Every time Michelle Obama comes to Jax Florida she says " I have the military's back". And dont forget Hillary Clinton has our back also. Can you feel the love or the knife to our throat.

It is true. The latest update I've heard is that Republicans in the Senate are lining up against this proposal. Politics and Religion are always passionate subjects so I won't say more but I'm glad to see some opposition to this less than intelligent proposal. Not real happy with the House for even letting this get to the Senate.

I would not classify this question in the Religion or Politics category. I find it more like the what are they thinking and it is unfair category. How can they take something away that was promised to us. Next it will be our Tri-care for life. Is there any group that is standing up for our right to our benefits of this outrageous theft of our benefit.

I can't say for certain, but I would guess one or more of these are probably in this fight.karylkoch wrote: Is there any group that is standing up for our right to our benefits of this outrageous theft of our benefit.

it was worded out that "working age retirees" would loose 1 point of cola each year until 65
so if coal was 3% we would get 2
sort of suxs to high heaven.
the working age crud is getting lots of traction with new retirees or those coming in now.
you give 20 plus of your life only to be punished and not be able to claim your pension until 65, by that time many would have expired so the DOD saves money.
20 plus is HARD labor on the body and these turkeys just don't get it
the exception is if your disabled but they don't clarify if its VA disabled or the definition social security uses, which is BAD. hopefully it uses VA ratings
i am 100% va rated but social security says I am not broken......
