Hello Again:
Some of you may remember previous postings concerning what I'm doing here in California for non-handicapped disabled veterans. Namley to get the state to issue a special licnse plate for these men and women. If you'll hit our website, www.chcv.org , you will see what progress we've made.
In a nut shell, legislation won't work but, another way was found and this approach is a winner. It involves getting the Cal VA and DMV to approve an addition to the veterans plates they already issue. Currently they have the DAV org. logo they they are trying to pass off. It was made clear to them that is more than BS.
Over the three and a half years I've been working on this, support from within the legislature has continued to grow. And that's what I'm using to make this work.
What is needed now is for qualified CA residence to email us at the email link provided on out website, chcv.org. Because CA has yet again in a budget crunch, that vet, for the time being, will be subject to the usual fees. However, once the crunch is over, I've been assured that the fees will be either greatly reduced or eliminated.
To qualify a CA veteran needs a non-handicapped disability rating of 100%, P&T, service connected. The 100% can be either a straight disability rating or a combination of disability and unemployability. Email me through the link provided on the website (remembering to fill in the subject line) if you are interested or have any questions. We need to get as many as possible for the first printing.
Thanks
